Keraton Yogyakarta | Royal Palace of Yogyakarta

Hey guys! Welcome back to the channel! Today I’m taking you to one of the most iconic cultural landmarks in Indonesia — Keraton Yogyakarta, the royal palace that stands at the heart of Yogyakarta’s soul and tradition.

As soon as I entered the palace grounds, I felt like I had stepped back in time. The architecture is stunning — a blend of Javanese elegance and centuries-old history. The palace still functions as the home of the Sultan and his family, which makes it even more special!

I wandered through open pavilions, watched traditional gamelan rehearsals, and even caught a glimpse of the royal guards in their classic uniforms. The museum inside showcases royal artifacts, ancient photographs, and batik collections — it’s like walking through a living history book.

What really amazed me was how the locals speak so proudly about the Keraton. It’s not just a tourist site — it’s a living symbol of Javanese identity and philosophy. If you’re ever in Yogyakarta, don’t miss this place. Go early in the morning to catch the cultural performances and avoid the crowd!
